CaloryStat ("we," "us," or "the Site") is a free, editorially independent website providing nutrition and fitness calculators. 2. What Data We Collect
All calculators on this Site run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter — weight, height, age, body fat percentage, and similar inputs — are never sent to our servers, never stored, and never shared. They exist only temporarily in your browser's memory and disappear when you close or refresh the page.
We do not currently operate account creation, newsletters, or contact forms. If we add any of these features in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly and you will be asked for explicit consent where required.
We automatically collect limited technical data through analytics, described below, such as approximate location (country/city level), device type, browser type, pages visited, and referral source.
3. Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are popular, how long people stay, and which calculators are used most. GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies to collect anonymized or pseudonymized usage data.
- Purpose: aggregate traffic analysis, never used to identify you personally.
- Data shared with Google: IP address (may be shortened/anonymized), device and browser information, pages viewed, session duration.

Because our calculators process data locally in your browser and we do not maintain user accounts, we hold very little personal data. 6. Data Retention and Security
Calculator inputs are never transmitted or stored — they exist only in your browser session. Aggregated analytics data is retained by Google according to their own retention policies (typically 14 months for GA4 by default). We take reasonable technical measures to keep the Site secure, including HTTPS encryption.
7. Children's Privacy
This Site is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
